Karachi, May 14, 2018 (PPI-OT):Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi and Department of Culture, Government of Sindh, jointly organized the “International Urdu Mushaira” which was held in National Museum of Pakistan on May 13th, 2018. Where the president of arts council Muhammad Ahmed Shah and the provincial minister of culture and heritage Syed Sardar Ali Shah hosted the session. The renowned international and national poets were part of the grand ceremony where they presented their poetic works.
Mushaira session was chaired by Kishwar Naheed while Ambreen Haseeb Anbar performed the duties as a moderator Globally recognized poets namely Khushbir Singh Shaad (India), Farhat Ehsas (India), Ranjit Singh Chohan (India), Sarwat Zahra (Dubai), Ishrat Afreen (USA), Ashfaq Hussein (Canada), Ahmed Salman (Canada) Bina Goindi (USA) were there to present their poetries. They also appreciated the contributions of president arts council Karachi, Mohammad Ahmed Shah regarding the promotion of art and literature and thanked him for inviting on such momentous occasion.
The most renown and senior poets of Urdu literature such as Dr.Pirzada Qasim Raza, Imdad Hussaini, and the famous poet Anwar Shaour also participated in “International Urdu Mushaira ” and presented their thought provoking poetries.
President of the session Kishwar Naheed (Islamabad) also entertained the audience with her recently written poetries. Well known domestic poets such as Jahan Ara Tabassum (Quetta), Fazil Jamali (Karachi), Rehman Faris (Lahore), A.H. Khanzada (Karachi), Ahmed Attaullah (Kashmir), Nasira Zubairi (Karachi), Haris Khaleeq (Islamabad), Ajmal Siraj (Karachi), Aqeel Abbas Jafri (Karachi), Qamar Raza Shahzad (Multan), Ahmed Naveed (Karachi), Nazir Tabassum (Peshawar), Abbas Tabish (Islamabad) and, Shahida Hassan (Karachi) also gathered in this marvellous event to share their works and got huge applause from the audience.
The ceremony of Mushaira was hosted by the President Art Council of Pakistan Karachi, Mohammad Ahmad Shah and Provincial Minister for Culture Syed Sardar Ali Shah who presented their heartiest gratitude to domestic and foreign guest in concluding moments of the ceremony.
