Arts Council of Pakistan in collaboration with ‘Khana Farhang’ organizes a 3-day art exhibition on Ashra-e-Karamat

Karachi, July 10, 2019 (PPI-OT): Arts Council of Pakistan in collaboration with ‘Khana Farhang’ of Islamic Republic of Iran organizes a 3-day art exhibition on occasion of Ashra-e-Karamat which includes birth anniversaries of Hazrat Imam Raza (a.s), Hazrat Ahmed bin Mosa Kazim (a.s) and Bibi Fatima Masooma (S.A). Consulate General of Iran Ahmed Mohammadi and President Arts Council Mohammad Ahmed Shah inaugurated the art exhibition. On this occasion consulate general of Iran Ahmed Mohammadi expressed his gratitude for Arts Council of Pakistan for this collaboration, he said that art and culture play a great role in constructing better relation among two countries.


We would like to have more collaboration like this between Iran and Pakistan in near future. Mr. Mohammadi shared the importance of Ashra-e-Karamat and said that these days are considered as days of dignity and greatness in Iran. President Arts Council Mohammad Ahmed shah also appreciated this collaboration with consulate general of Iran and said that, we feel honoured to host a great exhibition like this. Some marvellous artwork of talented Irani and Pakistani artist is on display today. He further added that Iran is our brother Islamic country and we also want strong mutual relation with them.


Iran is famous worldwide for its unique artwork and calligraphy. They have a rich history of great artworks like paintings and poetry. We are soon starting classes for Persian language for our youngsters so that can understand more about the art of Iran. Artwork of different Pakistani and Irani artists were on display in the exhibition among them some prominent artists were Mahdi Farokhi, Liela Deyanat, Mohammad Zaernia, Siyavash Noori and Adeeba Khan.
