64% of Pakistanis agree that the world climate is changing for the worse, 10% disagree: Survey

Islamabad, November 07, 2019 (PPI-OT): According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 64% of Pakistanis agree that the world climate is changing for the worse, 10% disagree.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “How strongly do you agree or disagree with the following statement: The world climate is changing for the worse?” In response, 23% said they very strongly agree, 14% said they strongly agree, 27% said they agree, 26% said they neither agree nor disagree, 8% said they disagree, and 2% said they strongly disagree.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1,448 men and women in urban and rural areas of all four provinces of the country, during June 30-July 09, 2019. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
