Islamabad, August 10, 2018 (PPI-OT):According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, more than half Pakistanis (58%) claim non-religious shows should not be transmitted during the holy month ofRamadan.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion, should religious programs only be transmitted during Ramadan transmission, or other programs should also be transmitted?” In response to this question, 58% said only religious programs should be transmitted, 28% said non-religious programs should also be transmitted, while 14% said they do not know or do not wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1625 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, June 18 – June 25, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
