57% Pakistanis opine that their health with respect to their body weight is commendable (somewhat good or very good), 38% rate it as poor (somewhat bad or very bad): Survey

Islamabad, December 06, 2018 (PPI-OT): According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 57% Pakistanis opine that their health with respect to their body weight is commendable (somewhat good or very good), 38% rate it as poor (somewhat bad or very bad).

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “How would you rate your health with respect to your weight?” In response to this question, 23% said it is very good, 34% said it is somewhat good, 25% said it is somewhat bad, 13% said it is very bad while 5% did not know or respond to the question.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1601 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, October 22 – October 29, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
