52% Pakistanis claim their physical and emotional health has interrupted with their social activities in the previous four weeks, either all the time, most of the time or for some time: Survey

Islamabad, July 13, 2018 (PPI-OT): According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 52% Pakistanis claim their physical and emotional health has interrupted with their social activities in the previous four weeks, either all the time, most of the time or for some time.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Please tell in previous 4 week to what extent (or time) did your physical health and emotional issues interrupt your social activities (such as meeting relatives and friends)?” In response to this question, 10% said all the time, 19% said most of the time, 23% said for some time, 18% said little bit of the time, 26% said not at all, while 4% did not know or did not wish to respond.

Question: “Please tell in previous 4 week to what extent (or time) did your physical health and emotional issues interrupt your social activities (such as meeting relatives and friends)?”

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1506 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, June 11 – June 18, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
