The Flood of 2022

One of the most disturbing things that happened in this country after the Covid 19 were the floods of 2022. These floods have taken the lives of more than 1,900 people, one-third of whom were children, devastated millions of homes and key infrastructure, submerged entire villages and destroyed livestock.

The moon soon raining in 2022 in Pakistan was 3 times higher than in the previous 30 years it was the month of august when a massive moon soon raining, and floods hit Pakistan affecting almost 15% of the country’s population. ‘According to UNICEF REPORT, nearly 27,000 schools, 1,500 public health institutions were among the critical infrastructure that children so heavily rely on that has been destroyed or damaged’.

Al-Khidmat’s Arrival

Al-Khidmat’s entry begins with rescuing the people and ensuring their safety. Perhaps you have seen photographs/videos of Al-Khidmat’s volunteers assisting people to migrate to safe places. From there Alkhidmat start the relief operations for the victims

Al-Khidmat’s Tameer e Watan program;

Al-Khidmat teams went to affected areas to survey damaged houses, mosques, schools, and crops. In order to properly accommodate them Alkhidmat began the rehabilitation of flood victims. Following a proper strategic planning Alkhidmat maintains these relief operations in a highly organized manner. These reliefs include the provision of birth kits, food packages, rescue, seed supplies, shelters, medical aids, clean water, fertilizers, and other services.

The most unique and important initiative Al-Khidmat’s started was the Provision tents and the making of tent cities, assistance in the reconstruction of damaged homes for flood victims, restoration of mosques, and restoration of schools. This initiative is known as Al-Khidmat’s Tameer e Watan program According to data, Alkhidmat spent approximately 15 billion on this program. Alkhidmat was then assigned5B for ATWP;

Following;

Assistance in Houses Construction RS 150,000 per house

Restoration of Schools RS 500,000 per School

Restoration of Mosques RS 1000,000 per

Provision of seeds and farming

Essentials Rs 85,000 performer

The unique thing about Alkhidmat;

While I’m not familiar with other organizations and how their funds flow, Alkhidmat is trusted by donors and the public because it conducts numerous audits to ensure donor and public trust, including internal and external audits, operational audits, and constructive and operational audits in accordance with IIA and GAAP guidelines. Additionally, Alkhidmat has an amazing voluntary team in almost All Districts of PK that is much disciplined.

Conclusion

These kinds of organizations, which work to promote the development and prosperity of the nation, humanity, and the people, should have our support and encouragement. I encouraged young people to join Alkhidmat Youth by becoming either digital or physical volunteers.
