Lahore, December 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has paid tribute to the security forces for the successful operation against the terrorists in Bannu. He praised the bravery and courage of the soldiers of the Pakistan Army and said that the security forces have bravely defeated the terrorists. I salute the officers and jawans of the security forces, he added and asserted that the whole nation was united to eradicate the scourge of terrorism.

The CM also paid tribute to the sacrifice of the martyred soldiers and extended heartfelt sympathies to their families. We value the great sacrifices of the martyrs for the cultivation of peace in the country; he said and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Karachi, December 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari and Foreign Minister Chairman Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have expressed satisfaction over the successful operation of the security forces in Bannu.

While expressing grief over the martyrdom of three young martyrs, Saeed Shaheed, Babar Shaheed and Khurshid Akram Shaheed, they said that the courageous sons of the country eliminated the enemies of the motherland. They said that an operation like that of Swat is needed to defeat the enemies of the country. The increasing incidents of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are a matter of concern.

They expressed their condolences to the families of Shaheed Saeed, Shaheed Babar and Shaheed Khurshid Akram. They said that the Pakistan Army and the Police have sacrificed their lives for the nation. We are determined to protect our country from terrorists and extremists, they resolved. Karachi, December 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Former President of Pakistan and President of Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari expressed his satisfaction over the successful operation of the security forces in Bannu and said that the worthy sons of the country brought the enemies of the motherland to their end.

In a statement, the former president expressed grief over the martyrdom of security forces jawans Saeed Shaheed, Babar Shaheed and Khurshid Akram Shaheed and expressed his condolences to their families. Expressing concern over the increasing incidents of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the former president said that an operation like Swat is needed to suppress the enemies of the country.

He said that it is our right to pursue those who attacked the soldiers of Pakistan forces and bring them to an end. Asif Ali Zardari prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured officers and soldiers in the operation.

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi backs ICC Women’s T20 World Cup with 50 days to go 

Lahore, December 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):“There is nothing better than hosting a World Cup on South African soil.” South Africa’s World Cup-winning Springbok captain, Siya Kolisi, has thrown his support behind the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup taking place from 10 to 26 February 2023. With 50 days to go until the 10 best teams in the world compete for the ultimate prize in T20 cricket, Kolisi has urged the world to turn it up for the historic showpiece.

The opening match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will feature South Africa against Sri Lanka at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town on Friday 10 February with tickets on sale.

Rugby World Cup winner Siya Kolisi said: “There is nothing better than hosting a World Cup on South African soil. I know the whole nation will be behind our Proteas women as they were during the past Women’s T20 World Cup held in Australia.

I am excited to see them play, I want to wish them all the best. I hope they know that we will all be there, there is nothing to fear, and they must go out there, do their best and turn it up like they always do.”

Kolisi’s hometown of Gqeberha will be hosting five matches during the tournament, including a blockbuster double-header on Saturday 18 February at St George’s Park featuring England versus India followed by South Africa against Australia.

To celebrate 50 days to go, fans can meet their favourite Proteas women and men’s players at Canal Walk in Cape Town on Thursday with an opportunity to buy tickets and to come up close to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup trophy. This is the first time South Africa will be hosting the Women’s T20 World Cup, and fans are encouraged to turn it up to be a part of history. The Women’s T20 World Cup will leave a lasting legacy to shape the future of the women’s game on the continent.
