It is enough to make transgenders a part of the Benazir Kafalat program: Federal Minister and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program Shazia Atta Marri announced 

Karachi, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):The government of Pakistan has decided to make transgender women a part of Benazir Kafalat program for the first time. Federal Minister and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Shazia Atta Marri has announced to make transgender women a part of the sponsorship program. The BISP Board decided to include transgender women under the Benazir Kafalat program under the leadership of the Chairperson.

Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Security and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program Shazia Atta Marri said in her video message that transgenders are also a part of the society like us and it is the duty of the government to take care of them. To benefit from the program, transgenders must first update their gender in the identity card from NADRA.

The federal minister further said that eunuchs should get their identity card updated from NADRA and get registered at BISP tehsil offices and upon successful registration the applicant eunuchs will receive a message from 8171 number and they will get Rs 7000 quarterly.

Karachi, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has congratulated the Sindhi Cultural Day celebrations all over the world including Pakistan. According to the statement issued by Media Cell Bilawal House, PPP Chairman said in his message that the culture of Sindh is a beautiful combination of Indus civilization and Islamic civilization.

He said that Mohan Jo Daro is the mother of culture of Sindh. He further said that Ajrak, Topi, Riley, folk literature, music and traditional food of Sindh have their own unique identity. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that diversity in Pakistan is its beauty and strength. The whole world also agrees that diversity is the common heritage of humanity. He said that promoting Pakistan’s culture, art and literature is the manifesto of Pakistan People’s Party. He urged the Pakistani youth to play their full role in promoting their culture in the world in a modern way.

Transgender community to be made part of Benazir Kafalat Programme 

Karachi, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Government of Pakistan has decided to include the transgender community in the “Benazir Kifalat” programme for the first time. This decision was made during the 56th Board of Directors meeting chaired by federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and BISP Chairperson Shazia Atta Marri.

In a video statement issued on Saturday, Federal Minster for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Chairperson, BISP, Shazia Atta Marri announced the inclusion of transgender persons as beneficiaries of the Benazir Kafalat Programme. Terming the approval of the transgender policy as a “landmark achievement”, Shazia Marri said that the transgender community is the part of the society, adding that it was the government’s responsibility to facilitate them.

She told that Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has started to mobilize transgender community to get their Computerized National Identity Card (CNICs) from National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and to visit nearby BISP Tehseel Center for to get registered in the Kafalat Programme. “After successful registration, the applicant transgender will get Rs 7,000 quarterly,” she added.

Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan calls on Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi 

Lahore, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi met with the Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan at CM Office today in which a detailed consultation on the current political situation was held.

Matters pertaining to rules and regulations of Punjab Assembly and other legal affairs came under a discussion along with technical aspects of constitutional situation were reviewed. It was resolved to counter unconstitutional ploys of the opposition parties in a befitting manner.

The Chief Minister stated that the numbers of opposition parties are less and they indulge into mere gossiping. The false narrative of imposing Governor Rule and filing a no trust motion will ultimately prove to be making only tall claims.

CM Parvez Elahi remarked that the 27 kilometre Prime Minister has started feeling the heat of current political situation. CM vowed to stand with Imran Khan and would continue to do so adding that we are waiting for a hint of Imran Khan to dissolve the Punjab Assembly adding that whosoever we side with then we continue to stand with him through thick and thin.

Former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi vehemently remarked that Imran Khan is a sole leader of the nation and a dynamic leader like him is found after a long period of time. Moonis Elahi stated that those striving to create misunderstandings will meet with failure as ever before adding that the Punjab Assembly and Chief Ministership are the trust handed over by Imran Khan.

Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan apprised that Muttahida Ulema-e- Board amendment bill along with Punjab Empowerment of Persons and Disabled bill will be submitted in the next Assembly session. Sabtain Khan informed that legislation on The University of Quran and Seerat Studies bill will also be done.

Sabtain Khan stated that we are united and unanimous under the able leadership of Imran Khan adding that Imran Khan is the real leader of Pakistan and will continue to remain so. Secretary Punjab Assembly Inayat Ullah Lak was also present during the meeting.

Member Punjab Assembly Khayal Ahmad Kastro calls on Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and presents him a cheque of Rs 2.5 crore in CM Flood Relief Fund 

Lahore, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi met with Member Punjab Assembly belonging to Faisalabad Khayal Ahmad Kastro and Ahmad Shafique at CM Office in which both presented him a cheque of rupees 2.5 crore in the CM Flood Relief Fund.

CM Parvez Elahi thanked Khayal Ahmad Kastro on giving financial assistance for the flood-affected people adding that the spirit of affluent to lend a hand for the flood affectees is highly praiseworthy. CM apprised that the Punjab government is doing a rehabilitation work for the flood affectees through its own resources and by the donations of philanthropists.

He stated that a comprehensive programme is being implemented for the rehabilitation and settlement of flood-affected people. CM extolled Pakistan Army, Navy and Air force for rendering a commendable and an appreciable work for rehabilitating the flood affectees. The Chief Minister highlighted that transparency is being ensured at every cost in the disbursement programme to the flood affectees.

CM resolved to provide complete assistance to the flood affectees with regard to construction and restoration of their houses. CM censured the federal government for abandoning the flood affectees of Punjab adding that denial of providing assistance on behalf of the federal government is remorseful.
