Second Day of “DHA” 29th National Men and “DHA” 15th National Women Karate Championships 2022 

Lahore, October 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):It is to inform that “DHA” 29th National Men Karate Championship 2022 and 15th National Women Karate Championship 2022″ has been started at Capt. Fasih Babar Shaheed Sports Complex block-A, DHA phase 6, Lahore. Teams from all the affiliated units of Pakistan Karate Federation WAPDA, Army, Railways, Police, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KP, HEC and Islamabad participated in the championships, and more than 350 players participated in these championships.

In today’s Women Championship 4 events are played in which Pakistan Army won 4 Gold Medal and remains prominent while WAPDA won 3 Silvers and 1 bronze medal, Railways won 3 Bronze, Balochistan won 1 Silver 2 Bronze, Islamabad won 1 Bronze Medal and Sindh won 1 Bronze Medal.

In Men Competition 4 events played in which Pakistan Army 4 Gold Medal and remains prominent while WAPDA won 2 Silvers and 1 bronze medal, KPK won 1 Silver, Railways won 3 Bronze, Balochistan won 1 Silver 2 Bronze, Islamabad won 1 Bronze Medal and Sindh won 1 Bronze Medal.

IUB observed World Mental Health Day 2022 

Bahawalpur, October 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Directorate of Public Relations, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur In pursuance of Vice Chancellor Eng. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob emphasis to raise concern on mental health and wellbeing and to mobilize support for mental health, an Awareness walk was organized to enhance the significance of mental among students, employees of the IUB, and the community at large. The event was a joint venture of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Directorate of Enabling Centre, IUB.

Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean Faculty of Social sciences, Dr. Samar Fahd, Director Enabling Centre, Ms. Kalsoom Akhtar, Additional Director, Enabling Centre, Dr. Fatima Khurram, Ms. Asia Kausar, Department of Psychology, Dr. Mahe Bushra Asghar, Department of Information Management, and other faculty members from numerous departments of Social Sciences and other faculties participated in this awareness walk. In the end, Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti highlighted the importance of mental health for emotional and social wellbeing for prosperous living, and to reduce the stigma of mental illness. She also appreciated the efforts of Enabling Centre in playing a significant role in enhancing mental health awareness and help to recognize early signs and risks of mental illness among the IUB students and employees.

The evening was illuminated with the presence of respected professors and faculty members.

Students enjoyed a lot this thrilling and interactive session. He enlightens what is the main issue of our youth. They didn’t know their inner self. That’s why we are lost. In the category of citations, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has come to the first position, surpassing all universities across Pakistan, which is a high proof of the high quality and quantity of research activities carried out in the university. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur scored 12.1 in research category, 37.1 in industrial income, 62.9 in citations and 43.2 in international outlook.

CM Ch Parvez Elahi inaugurated the ‘Go Punjab App, Moonis Elahi, Dr. Arsalan Khalid and Omar Sarfaraz Cheema participated in the ceremony 

Lahore, October 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi formally inaugurated the ‘Go Punjab’ App at the Punjab Information Technology Board. Former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi, Provincial Minister for Information Technology Dr Arsalan Khalid, Adviser to CM on Home Omar Sarfaraz Cheema, Secretaries of concerned departments and the senior officials of PITB were also present on the occasion. CM while addressing the launching ceremony of ‘Go Punjab’ app said that the Punjab Information Technology Board has served different departments in a short span of time and has achieved a big milestone by making an app. He said that when he had assumed the office of the Chief Minister then the province had no department of Information Technology.

He disclosed that he had established the Information Technology department in 2005 and laid the foundation stone of IT Tower on 3rd July 2006. The place where we are now had a vegetable market situated earlier. We shifted the poor people working at this place to some other place and provided them with livelihood. He apprised that we will make a 600 bedded hospital and an emergency on the adjacent land of IT Tower. We have also chalked out a plan to make a helipad to shift the injured in case of any accident occurring at the Motorway or at the Ring Road. Our projects are for the future and their benefits will reach the common man. He stated that he had also started the number plate projects of the vehicles in 2005 and sent for the number plate’s model from California.

Unfortunately Shehbaz Sharif after coming into power soon stopped the work on IT Project like my other projects. The Chairman P and D of that time Salman Ghani apprised Shehbaz Sharif that the building of this project had been given to the Chinese government on a contract. The Chinese government had filed a case against the Punjab government at that time and due to the incompetence of Shehbaz Sharif the Punjab government had to give rupees 41 crore and then that project started. He said that he tried to get back rupees 41 crore through the court.

It was a great misfortune that the project had to incur a loss of rupees 41 crore due to Shehbaz Sharif. CM said that the common man will be greatly benefitted with the facility of ‘Go Punjab’ app and will eliminate bribery with the provision of online services. The women present in the houses can also benefit from the ‘Go Punjab’ app. Our government has provided facilities to every citizen and to every house through the ‘Go Punjab’ app. Employment opportunities will also be generated with the inclusion of the services of a private sector in the ‘Go Punjab’ app. ‘Go Punjab’ app is a magnificent step of our government to provide facilities to the people. He maintained that the Qaumi Sehat Card is a flagship program of the Chairman PTI Imran Khan and through this app the information relating to Qaumi Sehat Card and the hospitals will also be provided to the citizens.

The copy of FIR, lost report and the payment of E Challan can also be made through the ‘Go Punjab’ app. The payment of traffic challans, payment of rent and registration of domestic servants can also be done through the’ Go Punjab’ app. death, birth, marriage and divorce certificates can also be obtained by the Go Punjab app along with the payment of professional, token, property tax, e auction, transfer of vehicles and their registration can also be done through this app. E- stamp paper, Fard Malkiyet, and the payment of mutation fee can also be done through this app. The farmers can pay the fee E- abiyana and the industrialists can pay the business registration fee through the Go Punjab app.

The information relating to the booking of Punjab Tourism Corporation Rest Houses and other details can also be obtained through the Go Punjab app. Route Permit fee and fitness certificate can also be obtained through the Go Punjab app. Go Punjab app can also be used for the registration of private schools. Under the Punjab Ehsas Rashan Program registration can also be done on the Go Punjab app. Go Punjab app not only of Punjab but of Pakistan is the first public sector app of its own distinctive feature.

Lacs of citizens sitting at their homes can benefit from the services being provided by the government through the Go Punjab app. Go Punjab app will save the time and money of the citizens and the service delivery will improve. The caravan of Go Punjab app will not stop and further services will also be provided to the citizens through this app. CM on the launching of Go Punjab app felicitated the Provincial Minister Information Technology Board Dr. Arsalan Khalid, DG IT Faisal Yousaf and their team on their excellent performance.

Provincial Minister Information Technology Board Dr. Arsalan Khalid said that according to the vision of Chairman PTI Imran Khan and CM Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi it is our mission to empower the youth through technology. He apprised that we are also working to include the services of the private sector in the Go Punjab app. DG PITB Faisal Yousaf gave a briefing about the important features of Go Punjab app. Mufti Ahmad Ali of Jamia Ashrafia prayed for the integrity and prosperity of the country.

CM Ch Parvez Elahi message on the international day of rural women 

Lahore, October 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that the role of rural women in the agricultural progress is of great importance adding that progress in the agricultural sector without the participation of rural women is impossible CM in his special message on the International Day of Rural Women said that the rural women play the role of a vanguard to increase agricultural production besides ensuring food security. He stated that the important role of women cannot be overlooked in strengthening the rural economy.

He lauded that the rural women by working shoulder to shoulder with the men in the fields contribute their significant part in strengthening the rural economy adding that time has come that the rural women should be granted their due rights. He highlighted that our government is actively working for the progress of rural women and for the protection of their rights. He maintained that taking steps to bring betterment in the state of affairs of the rural women is our responsibility. CM emphasised that we have to improve rural infrastructure and services so as to simplify the inclusion of women in the social, political and economic activities. He underscored that we have to pay attention to improve the educational institutions and hospitals in the rural areas.

CM stated that inclusion of rural women is essential in the matters of legislation and decision- making at the local and national level. He stressed that it is the need of time to eliminate torture and discriminatory behaviour on gender basis. CM outlined that today we have to admit as a nation the positive role being performed by the rural women for the development and progress of a society adding that we reiterate our resolve that we will take more effective steps for the provision of rights to the rural women.
