Former President Asif Ali Zardari’s message on the death anniversary of the father of the nation

Karachi, September 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari paid glowing tributes to the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 74th death anniversary falling on 11 September.

Asif Ali Zardari in a statement said that Quaid-e-Azam laid the foundation of an independent state, Pakistan, by political struggle. We are following the philosophy of Quaid-e-Azam. The 1973 constitution guarantees the strength and unity of Pakistan. The passage of the eighteenth constitutional amendment has strengthened the Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam, Asif Zardari concluded.

Our government gives only relief and will not give any grief, Punjab government is ahead of everyone in providing relief in the welfare works: Ch Parvez Elahi 

Lahore, September 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that our government gives only relief and will not give any grief. “I daily think that which noble deed should to serve the creatures of Allah Almighty. Punjab government is ahead of everyone with regard to doing welfare works.”

CM while addressing the office bearers and members of Lahore Press Club in a function being organized in their honour at 90-SQA said that he will ensure the system of donation and their usage mechanism to be transparent. He said that why Shehbaz Sharif was trying to convince the UN Secretary General by holding his hand regarding the transparent usage of the funds.

Shehbaz Sharif knows how to ask for money and the nice manner in which he can ask for money, no one else can do so. What can be expected from Shehbaz Sharif and Miftah Ismail adding that we are providing solar tube wells to the flood affected farmers.

Pakistani citizen and American Businessman Tahir Javed will also provide assistance with regard to providing solar pumps to the flood affectees on my call. CM apprised that the relief amount to be given to the heirs of the deceased during the flood has been increased to Rs. 10 lac.

We will provide financial aid amounting to Rs. 4 lac on the collapse of a concrete house and Rs. 2 lac financial aid will be given on the collapse of a clay house. We will provide Rs. 75, 000 to the owners of the livestock due to drowning of their livestock in the flood.

CM said that more than Rs. 2. 5 billion had been collected in the telethon for the flood affectees adding that we will ensure transparency in the relief package. Audit will also be done and those found involved in doing embezzlements will be punished. We will provide 40 percent subsidy in food items to the homeless persons due to flood. CM Parvez Elahi said that the journalists played a commendable role for bringing to surface the problems of the flood affectees during the flood.

The work of journalists’ brothers is difficult and their problems should be resolved on priority. CM announced that a patrolling post will be set up in the journalists housing society to eradicate it from the land grabbers. A message has been conveyed to the Inspector General of Police that land grabbing on the plots of the members of the Lahore Press Club will not be tolerated.

He further announced that it is included in our priorities to provide shelter to the journalists adding that on getting an appropriate land, Phase 2 of Journalists Housing Society will be established. He further announced that free operation facility will be provided to the members of Lahore Press Club adding that immediate treatment of the office bearers will be started with the collaboration of Lahore Press Club and the expenses will be paid by the government.

CM apprised that if there is a vacant place then the allottees of the B-Block Press Club will be provided at an alternate place. The grant amounting to Rs. 2 crore will be made part of the budget for the Lahore Press Club. Assistance will also be provided to pay the life insurance premium of the members of LPC.

CM disclosed that a housing society for the journalists will also be established in Faisalabad adding that the proposal to establish housing societies for the journalists in other cities will also be reviewed. We will also construct building of the press club in big cities. We want to work for the welfare of the journalists, cameramen, photographers and sound lights staff members.

We will also provide assistance for improving sewerage system in the journalists housing society. We have made Rescue-1122 an excellent institution, will also provide medicines during emergency. The possession process to the allottees of the F-Block has been started. Later, the CM distributed the possession letters for the F-Block to the family members of the deceased journalists.

CM also gave a cheque of Rs. 1.5 crore to the President Lahore Press Club Azam Chaudhry. CM also announced to increase the annual grant of the Photo Journalists Association to Rs. 10 lac. CM also administered an oath from the members of the Governing Body of LPC.

Shields were also distributed among the Adviser on Information Omar Sarfraz Cheema, Spokesman to CM Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan, Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, Secretary Information Raja Mansoor Ahmed, and DGPR Afraz Ahmed and to Rao Parvez Akhtar in the ceremony. President CPNE Kazim Khan, office bearers and members of LPC, and the concerned officials participated in the ceremony.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pays tribute to martyrs of MRD

Karachi, September 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid glowing tribute to the eleven party workers on their 39th martyrdom anniversary, who embraced martyrdom in Khairpur Nathan Shah (KN Shah) during the Movement for Restoration of Democracy (MRD).

In his message, Chairman PPP said that the unmatched sacrifices of the martyrs of the KN Shah tragedy Shaheed Abdul Ghani Abro, Shaheed Abdul Aziz Lakhir, Shaheed Nizamuddin Naich, Shaheed Abdul Nabi Khoso, Shaheed Allah Warayo Langah, Shaheed Shahnawaz Khoso, Shaheed Habibullah Leghari, Shaheed Didar Khokhar, Shaheed Zameer Jagirani, Shaheed Ejaz Khuharo and Shaheed Manzoor Chandio would never be forgotten. “Today is a reminder of how hard the PPP has had to go through for the sake of people’s rights, and how great sacrifices Jiyalas have made for democracy”, he added.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that KN Shah, the city of our 11 martyrs, has been severely affected by the floods nowadays. He further said that in past, the Jiyalas sacrificed their lives for the sake of democracy, today the PPP is standing at the forefront of the struggle for the provision of relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims. “Like the rehabilitation of other parts of the country, I will not breathe a sigh of relief until the flood affectees of KN Shah and other parts of the country are fully rehabilitated,” he vowed.

Chairman PPP reiterated the resolve that PPP would not let the sacrifices of our martyrs go in vain, rather it would continue its struggle with steadfastness and determination. He further said that his Party would strengthen democracy in the light of the ideology and vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

Sports Board Punjab makes excellent arrangements for live screening of T20 Asia Cup final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on 100×20 feet digital screen 

Lahore, September 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Sports Board Punjab made excellent arrangements for the live screening of T20 Asia Cup final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on 100×20 feet digital screen, the biggest screen of the country’s history at the National Hockey Stadium on Sunday night.

Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi was the chief guest of the final match while Secretary Information Raja Mansoor, Assistant Commissioner Model Town Sonia Sadaf, Director Admin Syed Omair Hasan, Director Sports Nadeem Qaiser and prominent personalities of sports and showbiz also watched the thrilling match.

Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi in a statement on Sunday said that Sports Board Punjab has made superb arrangements for showing T20 Asia Cup final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on country’s biggest screen. “The overwhelming participation of passionate cricket lovers in this memorable activity reflected that it is the best entertainment for cricket-mad fans,” he added.

He said thousands of enthusiastic cricket fans watched the mouth-watering tile clash and strongly supported their national cricket team by chanting huge slogans ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ throughout the match proceedings. “The entry was also free for cricket fans in the National Hockey Stadium and that’s why a large number of people including several families thronged the stadium to watch the nail-biting encounter”.

The cricket lovers were delighted to watch T20 Asia Cup final on the 100×20 feet digital screen. The cricket lovers said that they have never seen a cricket match on such a big screen in the past. “I have enjoyed the match a lot because of this big screen and excellent arrangements made by Sports Board Punjab,” said one cricket lover.

Six Pakistan women internationals to attend ACC Level 2 coaching course 

Lahore, September 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Six Pakistan women internationals are amongst 24 participants that have registered for the six-day ACC Level 2 Women Coaching Course, which will be held at the National High Performance Centre in Lahore from 12 to 17 September.

Pakistan international players include Ayesha Zafar (29 ODIs, 20 T20Is), Iram Javed (21 ODIs, 51 T20Is), Nahida Bibi (66 ODIs, 54 T20Is), Nashra Sundhu (49 ODIs, 28 T20Is), Natalia Pervaiz (three ODIs, 11 T20Is) and Sidra Amin (48 ODIs, 25 T20Is). Farah Naeem, Saira Iftikhar, Samina Bibi and Shehla Bibi are other participants from Pakistan.

Other participants in the course, include representatives from Bahrain, Bhutan (two), Hong Kong (two), Iran, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nepal (two), Maldives, Qatar (two) and Singapore.

The Level 2 course participants will be taught the advance coaching skills which include batting, bowling, fielding and wicket-keeping. This also includes work on communications skills, mental and physical strength, planning and creating quality learning environments which help players graduate to the next level.

The course will be conducted by National High Performance Centre coaches Mauhtashim Rashid, Mohsin Kamal, Rahat Abbas Asadi and it will be headed by Shahid Aslam. At the conclusion of the course, the participants will be given three months to complete their assignments. The successful participants will be awarded Level 2 coaching certificates.
