Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemns registration of a fabricated case against renowned independent journalist Waqar Satti by Punjab government

Islamabad, August 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has condemned registration of a fabricated case against renowned independent journalist Waqar Satti by Punjab government. In his statement, Chairman PPP said that no example of registering cases against journalists by the government could be found in any civilized society for fear of criticism. He said that it is not the tradition of a democratic society to put the safety of journalist Waqar Satti’s life at stake just to stop criticism.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that filing a case against a journalist for pointing out a misdeed or statement of a leader is a sheer sign of a fascist approach. “Punjab government must withdraw the fabricated case against Waqar Satti, as a personal vendetta against someone does not suit a government”, he added.

Reforms in curriculum of Madaris critical to their output: Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Lahore, August 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):The religious seminaries are the fortress of Islam and the protector as well as inheritor of the scholarly legacy of Suffa, a sheltered raised platform set up by the Holy Prophet (PBUH). There is no denying the importance and inevitability of the role of Madaris nor can this intellectual and scholarly role be minimized.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of MQI and deputy chairman of BoG of Minhaj University Lahore, expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held under the banner of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan for the distribution of prizes among the position-winning students.

The MQI President asked the teachers and organizers of the religious seminaries to not leave any stone unturned for bringing about improvement in the syllabi in line with the contemporary requirements. He said that the teaching of the modern sciences in Madaris is also important so that hundreds of thousands of the students can become part of the mainstream and play their constructive role as honourable members of the society.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri congratulated the students who won positions in the exams. He also felicitated Allama Imadullah Qadri, Mir Asif Akbar, Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, Dr Shafqat Baghdadi and the whole team for designing the curriculum according to the demands of the contemporary age. He said that the revival of the scholarly prestige of the religious seminaries will help eradicate extremism, hatred, and violent attitudes and promote harmony and peace.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Ziaullah Shah Bokhari, Amir Mutthidda Jamiat Ahel-e-Hadith, said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has done justice to the duty of serving the religion by including Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) as a formal subject in syllabi of religious seminaries. He said that if we make Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) our practical role model, we will be rid of all the social and moral scourges that have bedeviled our lives.

Syed Tahir Raza Bokhari, Director Aukaf Punjab, thanked Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for including Seerat-ur-Rasool (PBUH) as a proper subject in the syllabi of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan. He said that this step is a great service to religion and society. He said that those religious institutions that get registered with Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan will get the status of Baba-e-Madina-tul-Ilm.

Jamat-i-Islami senior leader Dr Farid Paracha said that there is great desire and thirst for modern religious education. He said that we are thankful to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri who quenched this scholarly thirst by including Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) in the curriculum of Nizam-ul-Madris Pakistan as a proper subject.

Allama Toquir Abbas said that the combination of modern and religious education in the syllabi of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan is its unique feature. He said that the work done by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is simply brilliant and a great service to the society.

MQI Secretary General Khurram Gandapur said on the occasion that the performance of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan and the conduct of the examination on the basis of the modern system of education are excellent achievements. He welcomed all the honourable guests for making time to attend the ceremony.
