Students need to attach the following attested photocopies along with the application form.

1. Detail Marks Certificate (DMC)

2. Domicile Certificate/Form-B of the student

5. Slip of EEF Registration Number (procedure for registration can also be seen on the above link at Sr. No. terms and condition 3)

After filling and completing application form,

1. Student may sign himself / herself on the application form.

2. Sign and stamp from relevant HOD below Serial number 13.

3. Parent signature is also mandatory below serial number 26.

4. Signature of relevant District Education officer below serial number 26.

Capital University Arranged National Financial Literacy Program for Youth Gala 

Islamabad, November 17, 2021 (PPI-OT):Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), Islamabad, in collaboration with National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF) arranged one-day gala for the students on Wednesday, 3rd November 2021. It was organized under the State Bank’s “National Financial Literacy Program for Youth (NFLP-Y)”. Pakistan’s major banks participated in this event such as Allied Bank Limited, Habib Bank Limited, First Women Bank Limited and Meezan Bank Limited, etc. These banks also put their stalls in the university campus where their representatives were present all day long.

Officials from NIBAF also attended the gala. In the seminar, which was the first event of this gala, welcome address was given by Vice Chancellor CUST, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mansoor Ahmed. The guest speakers addressed the audience and told them about the opportunities in financial markets, financial institutions and financial products for youth in Pakistan. The speakers include Mr. Mubashar Tayyab (Deputy Director NIBAF, State Bank of Pakistan), Mr. Umair Yousaf (Chief Product Officer, Mobilink Microfinance Bank) and Mr. Salman Shehzad (Project Director NFLYP-Y, NIBAF). The speakers also highlighted the Role of Financial Literacy in Economic Development and NFLP-Y. The 90 minutes seminar was followed by refreshments and networking session.

Stalls remained open in the university till 5 pm with bank officials available for students’ and teachers’ guidance and queries about account opening. Allied Bank Limited also brought their mobile account opening bus where interested students could open the account at the spot. Even the facility to open the account of any other bank was available. Participants were also interested to know the procedure of having loans for home and car financing for which they were guided.

CEO, Lake City Holdings Continues Support for the National Outreach Programme 

Lahore, November 17, 2021 (PPI-OT):At an MoU signing ceremony on November 15, Mr. Gohar Ejaz, CEO, Lake City Holdings, made another generous contribution of PKR 20 million towards the Gohar Ejaz Scholarship which will support National Outreach Programme (NOP) at LUMS.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Shahid Hussain, Rector, LUMS; Dr. Arshad Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, LUMS; Dr. Tariq Jadoon, Vice Provost; Dr. Ali Khan, Dean, Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences; Dr. Alnoor Bhimani, Honorary Dean, Suleman Dawood School of Business; and Ms. Nuzhat Kamran, Director Advancement. Joining the team were Mr. Sultan Gohar, Director, The Lake City Holdings (Pvt.) Limited, and recipients of the Gohar Ejaz Scholarship.

Mr. Ejaz is a prominent entrepreneur, philanthropist and industrialist who has received the distinguished presidential medal, Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his services to Pakistan. He is an avid support of inclusive education and has contributed towards the NOP since 2017 and has the undergraduate education of 26 students so far.

Mr. Gohar spoke about his journey and his motivation behind supporting the NOP, “While we have been agriculturists for nine generations, our grandfather moved to Karachi in search of better educational opportunities for my father, which has been life-changing for our family. I started my journey of giving by supporting NOP students at LUMS. It is an honour for me to be associated with Babar Sahib and this programme.”

Mr. Hussain commended Mr. Ejaz’s continued support. “The spirit with which Mr. Ejaz is supporting LUMS deserves to be celebrated. Our economy is currently struggling because the government cannot support or manage opportunities such as these. This is where individuals such as Syed Babar Ali and Gohar Ejaz come in, who have constantly been contributing towards our common goal of nurturing and polishing LUMS students and helping them cross boundaries that have never been crossed before.”

Dr. Arshad Ahmad thanked Mr. Ejaz. “We would like to acknowledge your generosity and all the philanthropic initiatives you have undertaken. We are very happy to hear that you do not only want to continue your support but also increase it and on behalf of the entire LUMS community, I would like to thank you.”

Marsh, Warner moves up in MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings

Dubai, November 17, 2021 (PPI-OT):Mitchell Marsh and David Warner have made notable progress in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings after helping Australia win their first ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Dubai on Sunday.

All-rounder Marsh, who struck an impressive 77 not out off 50 balls to be named Player of the Match in the final against New Zealand, has progressed six spots to reach joint-13th position among batters while Player of the Tournament Warner’s scores of 49 against Pakistan in their semi-final and 53 in the final have helped him move up eight places to 33rd position.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, who top-scored in the final with a knock of 85, has gained seven places to reach 32nd position while Devon Conway is up three places to fourth position after scoring 46 against England in the first semi-final in Abu Dhabi.

Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman is up eight places to 40th following his unbeaten 55 against Australia in the second semi-final in Dubai while spinner Shadab Khan has moved up seven places to 16th position after bagging four for 16 in the same match.

Other bowlers to gain in the latest update include Australia leg-spinner Adam Zampa, who is up two places to third, and fast bowler Josh Hazlewood, whose haul of three for 16 in the final sees him move up two places to sixth position.

New Zealand’s left-arm seamer Trent Boult is up seven places to 14th position after taking two for 18 in the final while Pat Cummins (up 24 places to 37th) and Chris Woakes (up 21 places to 46th) have also moved up the bowlers’ list. England’s Liam Livingstone is up seven places to third among all-rounders.

Meanwhile, Canada batter Navneet Dhaliwal’s consistent performances in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Regional Qualifier have lifted him 36 places to 36th position. Dhaliwal’s scores included 65 against Panama, 49 against Argentina and 44 against Canada.
