Fifth Merit List of BS Program of Various Disciplines

Kohat, November 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):For the information of all applicants who have applied for admission in BS Programs of the FATA University that the Fifth Merit Lists of short-listed candidates have been placed on the website and FATA University official Facebook page. The short-listed candidates are directed to appear for interview at the relevant department, scheduled on 9th November, 2021. The candidates are further directed to bring original and attested photocopies of the following documents:

(i) Printed copy of Admission form

(ii) Original Bank Draft

(ii) All DMC, s and Certificates

(iii) CNIC or form B

(iv) Domicile Certificate

(v) Admission fee Rs 11,000/- for Erstwhile FATA students and Rs 16,500/- for other students.

Furthermore, the admission of those candidates who will deposit the admission fee upto 04:00 PM on 9th November, will be confirmed. The applicants are further directed to visit FATA University website: www.fu.edu.pk and official Facebook page regularly for the updated merit lists and other information. University of Education observed Pink Ribbon Day at Township Campus

Lahore, November 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pink Ribbon Day was celebrated at University of Education, Township Campus with the collaboration of cancer care hospital and lions club on November 08,2021. On this occasion while addressing an awareness seminar Dr. Talat Nasir Pasha (S.I) the Vice Chancellor University of Education said there is cure of every disease; if we want to avoid cancer, we have to change our life style accordingly. The women should be well award about this disease.

The whole society should work jointly to eradicate this killing disease from our country. While addressing the seminar Dr. Ambreen Zahoor the consultant breast radiologist of cancer care hospital briefed the students in details about the different symptoms of cancer. She said we should try to increase our immunity power with the help of adding more fruits and vegetables in our food. Dr. Ambreen said the women should not be hesitant while talking about breast cancer and take good care of their health.

IBA CED organizes a guest speaker session on Exploring Social Entrepreneurship

Karachi, November 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):Centre for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), IBA organized a guest speaker session on ‘Exploring Social Entrepreneurship’ at the City Campus. Ms. Fiza Farhan, a leading Global Strategic Development Advisor, and a postgraduate from Warwick Business School was the guest speaker.

Ms. Farhan, also recognized as a global spokesperson on women empowerment shared her experiences and challenges in becoming an entrepreneur. She outlined various strategies that help in growing a startup internationally such as CAGE framework, transfer of skills, contingency plan, working speed, negotiation skills, capital adequacy, and scenario planning.

Moreover, she advised the audience to learn new skills, take small steps, strengthen their networking, and listen to their inner voice. She emphasized that the entrepreneurial journey is continuous and it includes several failures.

Towards the end, the audience engaged in a Q and A session with the speaker. The session concluded with a thank you note and a presentation by Dr. Shahid Qureshi, Program Director CED and Dr. Kamran Mumtaz, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, IBA Karachi.

Success Story of MUET Student 

Jamshoro, November 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):Mehran University is proud to share the success story of Engr. Falak Naz. She is the only student from Pakistan to place first in the country and 2nd in the world, in Erasmus Master on Innovative Microwave Electronics and Optics (EMIMEO), a fully-funded joint degree program from France, Italy, UK, and Spain.

Miss Falak Naz previously had been to the United States of America for one year on an academic exchange program. She was the author or co-author of five publications during her undergraduate years. Later, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Department of Telecommunication, following that she was upgraded to the Assistant Manager position at IEEEP.

We are proud of graduates like Miss. Falak Naz, who not only represent their educational institution domestically but also worldwide with sparkling stars. We congratulate her on her accomplishments and wish her the best of success in her future pursuits.

FMCS Film Festival 2021

Lahore, November 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Faculty of Media and Communication Studies (FMCS) is pleased to host the Film Festival 2021, scheduled to be held in December 2021 at the University of Central Punjab, Lahore.

The two-day festival aims to promote the art of filmmaking whilst encouraging creativity and maintaining high standards in storytelling.

The three categories of this year’s film festival include:

Short Film

Documentary

Music Video

Programme Structure:

Day 1: Workshop and screenings

Day 2: Discussion, screenings and closing ceremony

Rules:

1. This competition is open for all young filmmakers nationally. Entries will be judged separately according to the categories defined.

2. A separate fee for each submission should be submitted with the required details for multiple submissions.

3. The submission should not exceed the time limit mentioned in the poster.

4. The film and documentary can be in any language. However, films in any other language than Urdu should be subtitled in English/Urdu.

5. All submissions must be sent via email to the committee of Film Festival ’21 ONLY.

6. The submitted films will be evaluated by a panel of Judges, prominent personalities of the Film/TV/Music industry. Festival organizers and the University of Central Punjab will not influence the final results.

7. All panellists’ decisions regarding both shortlisting and the awards shall be final and may not be challenged or debated upon.

8. FMCS will have no right to broadcast (electronic or online) your content.

9. UCP will have the right to screen your film to the audience and judges of the festival. However, some shots from the shared content can be used to produce the promos of the festival.

10. In light of the government’s policies regarding COVID 19, the festival may get delayed or be conducted online.
