Peshawar, April 09, 2023 (PPI-OT):The educational activities at the University of Peshawar has been severely affected lately due to strike called by the teaching and staff associations. The students and their parents have shown severe concern regarding the situation. The senior students who are in their last semester have also requested for resumption of the classes as they will miss the higher education opportunities if the semester is not completed timely.

After the meeting of vice Chancellor with the HoDs, it is therefore decided that the classes of the programs including Arabic, Islamiat, Chemistry, Journalism, Law College, Psychology, Zoology, IMS, Environmental Sciences, Institute of Education and Research (IER), College of Home Economics, Art and Design, Physics, Geography, Pashto Academy, Economics, English, Commerce College, Peace and Conflict Studies and Disaster Management will resume from 10th April 2023.

All the faculty and students are informed to regularly start attending their classes in-person/online (Only during the month of Ramadan) from the said date onwards.

Peshawar, February 20, 2023 (PPI-OT):BS-Convocation of the University of Peshawar for the Sessions 2016-2020 and 2017-2021 is scheduled to be held on 9th March, 2023 at 09:30 a.m. in the Convocation Hall, University of Peshawar, wherein graduates will be awarded degrees in different disciplines of Bachelor Studies programme.

All graduates of the above mentioned sessions are required to register their names with the Degree Section at the office of the Controller of Examinations, University of Peshawar. Those graduates who have already received their Gold Medals/Degrees and are interested to participate in the Convocation are advised to return their Medals along with photocopies of the Degrees to the Degree Section.

The graduates are required to submit a copy of Degree/Final DMC/Transcript, two passport size photographs with white background, Computerized National Identity Card and a receipt of Rs.3000/-(as convocation fee), deposited through a bank draft in favour of Treasurer University of Peshawar in any bank branch at the University Campus till March 2, 2023.

Full dress rehearsal prior to the convocation ceremony will be held on 8th March, 2023 at 09:00 a.m. in the Convocation Hall, University of Peshawar, wherein attendance of all graduates is mandatory.

Those who remain absent in the rehearsal will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

NOTE:

Gowns, Hoods and Caps will be available on rent of Rs.500/- from the Academic Section/Counter adjacent to the Convocation Hall, University of Peshawar on 8th March 2023 for which graduates have to submit Rs.2000/- as security.

The graduates may download registration forms from the University website www.uop.edu.pk or collect the same directly from the Degree Section of the University. Further information and details can be obtained on the following landline numbers in working hours.

Peshawar, January 02, 2023 (PPI-OT):Applications are invited from the candidates having the following qualification/experience in the relevant subject for teaching MA and BS courses (Session 2022-23/Spring Semester 2022-23) at the Department of English and Applied Linguistics, University of Peshawar on visiting basis.

Candidates having MS/MPhil degree (1 8 years of education) in the relevant field from HEC recognized Universities/DAIs with no 3rd division in the academic career are eligible to apply on plain paper.

Attested copies of all academic credentials along with CV, CNIC, Domicile, Photograph and Experience Certificate (if any) must reach the office of the Chairman, Department of English and Applied Linguistics on or before Monday, January 09, 2023 via courier or by hand.

Candidates must deposit Rs.500/- (non-refundable) as application processing fee in favour of the Treasurer, University of Peshawar in A/C No. 6290-3 at National Bank University Campus Branch.

Incomplete applications and those received after due date will not be entertained.

Demonstration/Interview for the same will be held in the office of the Chairman, Department of English and Applied Linguistics, University of Peshawar, and Date for Demonstration/interview will be announced later.
