Clash of institutions will have grave consequences: Sirajul Haq

Lahore, October 02, 2017 (PPI-OT):Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the clash of the institutions always had grave consequences. In a statement here on Monday, he said that the constitution and the laws were being made a pay thing only to protect an individual. He said the constitution and the laws were framed for the country and the nation and not to protect the interest of a family or an individual. He said there could not be any amendment in the constitution or the law only for the sake of an individual.

Meanwhile, while addressing a I large public meeting at Drosh in Chitral area, Sirajul Haq said that if the US, Europe, Israel and India could join hands to attack Afghanistan, why could the religious parties in the country not unite for a common cause. The JI chief strongly condemned Foreign Minister Khwaja Asif’s statement against a respected Pakistani citizen and a religious scholar, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, to please the US and for feeling sorry for the country’s struggle against Soviet Union during 1970’s.

He said that historic fact was Pakistan had foiled the Soviet Russia’s designs and played host to around four million Afghans. He said if Khwaja Asif was ashamed of Pakistan’s achievement against Soviet Union, he should stay in the U.S. He said that the JI and the Pakistani nation was proud of its grand achievement against Soviet Union.

Sirajul Haq said that the Foreign Minister during his visit to the US, had not talked about the Rohingyas, or Dr Aafia Siddiqui. On the other hand, the Foreign Minister had nullified the sacrifices of the country in the war against terror and felt ashamed over the country’s role in the Afghan war.

Continuing, he said that the Ashura Muharram was the historic day when the grandson of the Holy Prophet fought against the forces of evil and refused to accept Yazid as a legitimate ruler. He said that Islam taught the lesson of standing firm with the forces of truth. The JI chief said that the Islamic system stood for the protected the rights of the poor and the downtrodden. Islam, he said, gave due rights to the women folk. He said that all other man made systems had failed to deliver and now it was Islam’s turn.

Sirajul Haq said the JI was demanding the rights of the people in Chitral in the CPEC. He said the northern area was rich with minerals but there was poverty because of corruption which must be wiped out. Meanwhile, the JI chief visited the residence of Arsalan Alam Shaheed and offered his condolences to the father and the family members of the martyr. He said that the whole nation was proud of the supreme sacrifice of the brave sons of the soil who were laying their lives for the country.
