Karachi, March 03, 2017 (PPI-OT):Chairman Law and Order Sub Committee of Korangi Association of Trade and industry (KATI), Nadeem Khan urged the chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah to personally supervise ongoing development work in the city. He said that complaints have been received about use on substandard material in construction of roads by contractors. The road constructed about two months ago has started decaying particularly at Metropole hotel, he added as example.
He notated that be it from Shahra-e-Faisal to MA Jinnah Road or University Road to National Highway, these days every main route of the metropolis is dug up for re-construction. He also advised the chief minister to constantly monitor ongoing development work in the city. He also stated that no efforts were made to provide better bypass beside under construction roads and condition of bypass are so dilapidated that it leads to serious traffic congestion in the area, resulting in commuters failure to reach offices, hospitals and home on time.

Expressing concern over increasing incidents of street crime in general and in the areas where roads development work is in progress which leads to slow down movement of traffic and provide easy target to criminals to archive their goal.
Nadeem Khan further pointed out CPLC data which reviled that in February alone this year more than 2600 mobile phones were snatched on gun point most of them in the areas where road development work is in progress. He noted that the work at Korangi crossing flyover phase two has been delayed.
