Karachi, August 09, 2017 (PPI-OT):Pasban e Pakistan President Altaf Shakoor has demanded that all the looters of the national wealth should be chased and taken to their logical end in the larger interest of justice and uphold of constitution.
In a statement here Wednesday, he said that catching one thief and leaving others unscathed is against the basic principle of law and justice. Quoting famed mathematician Neils Able, he said it is proved that one obtains the derivative of an infinite series by taking derivatives of each term; hence punishing one criminal won’t suffice and they all should be taken to the task. He asked to chase all big fish of corruption whose name appeared in the Panama Leaks.
He said recent action of the apex court in connection with the Panama Leaks case is only the tip of the iceberg. He said the big fish in the ocean of corruption in Pakistan are still free from the long arm of law and they all and sundry should be netted and sent behind the bars. He said the looted wealth by them and sent to foreign countries and Swiss accounts should be brought back to Pakistan and used to repay huge foreign loans.
Altaf Shakoor said corruption is more dangerous than terrorism as it has been eroding the very foundations of Pakistan. He said corruption is sadly present in corridors of powers and the corrupt ruling politicians are ruining the nation and country to maximize their personal wealth. He said probe should be launched to all people whose life style does not match their declared income.
He said that the nation; however, does not need anarchy and chaos and the democratic process should be let to continue and flourish. He said however, no corrupt politician should be provided a chance to hide behind the veil of democracy. He said corruption is the name of politics is against the basic principles of democracy. He hoped that the apex courts would continue their heroic jobs to take the corruption mafia to their logical end and it is also a must for the survival of this nation and country.
