43% Pakistanis perceive themselves to be hard working, 18% perceive themselves to be not hardworking at all: Survey

Islamabad, October 19, 2017 (PPI-OT): According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, near majority of Pakistanis (43%) perceive themselves to be hard working, 18% perceive themselves to be not hardworking at all.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “For each statement, put a number from 1 to 5 next to it to describe how accurately the statement describes you (where 1 means very accurate and 5 means very inaccurate) – I am very hard working.” In response to this question, 14% said very accurate, 29% said moderately accurate, 38% said neither accurate nor inaccurate, 14% said moderately inaccurate and 4% said very inaccurate. 1% did not know or wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1770 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, September 18 – September 25, 2017. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
