42% urban Pakistanis say they have some sort of domestic help at home (either part time or full time): Survey

Islamabad, June 08, 2017 (PPI-OT):According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 42% urban Pakistanis say they have some sort of domestic help at home (either part time or full time).

A nationally representative sample of urban men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Do you have a full time / part time servant for domestic help?” In response to this question, 19% said they have part time servants for domestic help, 23% said they have full time servant for domestic help, while 58% said they have no domestic help.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1353 men and women in urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during May 01 – May 08, 2017. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
