Karachi, June 17, 2017 (PPI-OT):Karbala Heroes Quetta clinch 22nd Dr. M.A. Shah Night Trophy 2017 after defeating A.O. Clinic by 09 runs in exiting final of the tournament played at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium Karachi chasing the target of 187 runs A.O. Clinic were all out for 177 runs in 19.3 overs. The highlights of the match was superb divesting spell of left arm spinner Waseem Qureshi of Karbala Heroes who got first Hatrick of the Tournament and got 03 valuable wickets in one over after giving only 07 runs that was the turning point of A.O. Clinic. Opener Fawad Khan and Sami ur Rehman of Karbala Heroes gave away brisk start to their team which leg the strong foundation.
Both hits half centuries. After winning the toss A.O. Clinic put Karbala Heroes into bat Karbala Heroes Quetta scored 186/7 in 20 overs. Sami ur Rehman blasted 71 runs in just 40 balls with the help of 7 fours and 6 sixes, Fawad Khan played an aggressive inning of 63 runs in 46 balls including 8 fours and 3 sixes. Waseem Qureshi scored 19 runs in 9 balls. L.L.S. Kamran Ghulam took 02/26. In turn A.O. Clinic were all out for 177 runs in 19.3 overs.
Shahbaz Javed scored 39 with the help of 2×4, 2×6, Kamran Ghulam made 35 including 6×4, 1×6. Ali Tipu made 23 and Jahandad Khan scored 22. L.L.S. Waseem Qureshi bowled superb and took 03 hat trick wickets for 07 runs. L.L.S. Khursheed Shah took 02/28. Later Senior Minister Sindh and President Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro distributed the prizes as Chief Guest Dr. Syed Imran Ali Shah, Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah, Mrs Asma Ali Shah, Tournament Director Nusrat Faheem were also present on this occasion.
Waseem Qureshi of Karbala Heroes declared Man of the Match of the Final who receive Rs.20,000 as prize money while wicketkeeper batsman Shahbaz Javed of A.O. Clinic received Man of the Tournament with Motor Bick. Winning Trophy with cheque of Rs.600,000/ (Six Lacs ) and one motor bike by Naseer Khan of Karbala Heroes, Quetta while Runner Team Skipper Bilal Asif receives Trophy + Cheque of Rs.300,000/ (Three Lacs) and one motor bike.
