22nd Dr. M.A. Shah Night Trophy-2017

Karachi, June 16, 2017 (PPI-OT):A.O. Clinic after defeating Mujahid Gymkhana Lahore by 43 runs moved into Final of 22nd Dr. M.A. Shah Night Trophy, 2017 being played at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium Karachi organized by Asghar Ali Shah Memorial Sports Foundation collaboration of A.O. Clinic. The highlight of the Semi Final were fine all-round performance by Ali Tipu, left arm spinner Sadat Muneer and responsible batting by Adil Amin. Chasing target of 137 runs set by A.O. Clinic Mujahid Gymkhana Lahore were all out for 93 runs. A.O. Clinic skipper Ali Meher after winning the toss decided to bat first but they suffered early loss when International cricketer Owais Zia back into pavilion with score of 12 runs.

Thereafter wickets fallen subsequently and at one stage they were 71 for 5 however Adil Amin and Ali Tipu batted with responsibility. Adil Amin scored 40 with the help of 3 fours and a six, Ali Tipu scored 29 runs with 2 fours and a six. Jahadad Khan made 16. Medium pacer Ali Raza bowled well and took 3 wickets for 32 runs, Umair Mukhtar too 2/24. In turn Mujahid Gymkhana Lahore were all out for 93 runs. Muhammad Saleem made 26 with one six, Hasnain Bukhari made 22 including 4 fours.

L.L.S. Saadat Munir bowled extremely well and took 4 wickets for 10 runs, L.L.S. Ali Tipu bagged 2 for 29 runs. They both declared joint Man of the Match. Later Chief Guest Syed Nasir Abbas Director General KDA gave away cash prize of Rs ten thousand to joint Man of the Match Saadat Munir and Ali Tipu. Chairman Asghar Ali Shah Foundation Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah, President Dr. Syed Imran Ali Shah, Olympian Waseem Feroze and Tournament director Nusrat Faheem were also present there.
